From Commando to Farmer: The Incredible Story of Maanjoo Farms

Imagine leaving a secure, prestigious career to chase a dream rooted in soil.
That’s exactly what Mukesh Manjoo, a former NSG commando, did when he founded Maanjoo Farms in Pilani, Rajasthan.

Growing up, Mukesh saw the value of farming through his father’s eyes.
Even while living in Mumbai and serving the country, the call of his ancestral land never faded.
Starting small, he grew traditional crops like wheat and bajra. But soon, he realized they gave limited returns.
He wanted more — not just for himself, but for the future of farming.

In 2013, he took a bold step: planting kinnow and mosambi.
By 2015, he introduced olives, inspired by Israel’s farming techniques.
Despite Rajasthan’s tough climate and frequent water shortages, Mukesh never gave up.
When his father fell ill, he took early retirement and committed himself fully to farming.

Today, Maanjoo Farms is a beautiful example of sustainable, organic agriculture.
They grow olives, dates, kinnows, and even produce pure milk and ghee — all without chemicals.
Mukesh’s farm supplies top hotels and health-conscious customers across India.
He also opened the farm for agro-tourism, inviting people to experience rural life, ride horses, and enjoy fresh harvests.

From struggling with dry land to building a thriving ₹25 lakh profit business, Mukesh’s journey shows that when tradition meets innovation, miracles happen.

His story teaches us:
🌾 Dreams rooted in soil can change lives — and inspire a whole generation of farmers.
